In association with HM Prison Service and The Home Office/PSDB, Harper Chalice Group Limited with the assistance of O’Connor Fencing Limited and Expamet, have developed a unique “ATS” - Active Topping System that can be used on walls, buildings and fences to provide an active topping system to deter and delay access over the protected perimeter.

Using specially developed spring steel mounting brackets and fixings with a unique high security expanded metal panel, the ATS system can be mounted directly as a topping onto walls, buildings or fences to inhibit anyone trying to climb up or over the protected perimeter.

The close louvered openings of the expanded metal mesh make it very difficult for anyone to try and grip or make a hold from the underside of the ATS in order to manually climb over the ATS. In addition the ATS is sprung mounted and designed to flex with the intruder/escapee weight, making it extremely difficult to physically climb over.

The close louvered openings of the expanded metal mesh make it very difficult to grip the top of the mesh from the underside. This feature also makes it very difficult, if not impossible to get a grappling hook to grip or lodge in the top of the ATS to assist climb over attempts.
